Humanism and Spirituality are two key aspects of Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac’s educational focus:
Humanism places the person in the forefront, each person is unique and irreplaceable; each person is a world of capabilities that must be accompanied so that they can reach their maximum development. It is about encouraging every human being to live in fellowship and to commit themselves to his particular time in history and be concerned about its future.
Spirituality is the deepest part of our being: beliefs, ideals, dreams, passions… it is what gives a new dimension to our humanity; it makes us aware of being creatures of God; it opens us up to live God’s willintensely, to allow ourselves to be led by his Spirit, to offer our hands for the building of his Kingdom.
Art is the essential vehicle of human communication, especially valued today by youth. Through art all aspects of the person are integrated without restrictions; it breaches communication among cultures and different languages, and opens the possibilities to speak without words, to express oneself freely, to communicate with a universal language…
In the tradition of the Company of Mary, Humanism and Spirituality are the artof living and expressing God in life.
